Ground Transportation:

Taxi: Dispatchers monitor the taxi lines. Taxi fares should range between $40 and $60 (including toll and tip), depending on the airport, and about $25 from Penn Station. Taxis, which now take credit cards, will accommodate up to four passengers.

Air Link Train: The cost of AirLink is $5. There is an additional cost for the LIRR or subway. See the MTA website for complete directions and fare information: www.mta.info/mta/airtrain.htm

Subway: MetroCards are used on buses and subways, with free transfers within two hours from bus to subway. All subway stations have MetroCard vending machines. All major subway lines are within a short walking distance of the hotel. The subway is the most efficient method of getting around New York.

Airport Buses: New York Airport Service is available from LaGuardia for $12 and from JFK for $15. Both go to Grand Central Terminal. From Grand Central, you may take the subway 4 or 5 line to Borough Hall, about one block from the hotel.

Newark Airport Express Bus runs every 15 minutes and costs $15 one way or $27 round trip. Buses stop at the Port Authority bus terminal and Grand Central train station. For more information, see: coachusa1.reachlocal.net/olympia/ss.newarkairport.asp

Private Taxi/Limousine Companies: All fleet services:

  1. Have a wide variety of types of cars, from town cars to vans, which can accommodate up to 10 people. Charge & Ride has buses.
  2. Do not require an existing account - can be reserved using a credit card.
  3. Take only credit cards.
  4. Have online reservations. GroundLink offers a 5% discount for online reservations. GroundLink also has a smartphone app.
  5. Charge rates based on "zones."
