Georgia, Atlanta Region: Box Hill Picnic
Visit to Andalusia Farm
This year’s annual excursion takes us to Milledgeville, Georgia to see the home of Flannery O’Connor. She lived at her family's farm, Andalusia, from 1951 until her death in 1964, and it served as the source of settings, situations, and characters in her stories. Bring your own lunch and the $6 admission cost. We’ll meet at 11:45, tour the home and have a picnic on the grounds (or on the front porch if it is raining). Please note that this is a special tour for JASNA, as this house museum is currently undergoing renovation, and may not be open to the public at this time.
