New York Capital Region: An Illustrated Tour of Austen's Novels
A Visual Tour of Pride and Prejudice
David M. Shapard, author of The Annotated Pride and Prejudice and annotated versions of Austen's other novels, will show pictures of the various locations where the novel occurs and discuss their history and significance for the story. Examples of houses and gardens from the period will offer sense of the settings that the characters inhabited. He will also relate these places and settings to Jane Austen's own life and the places she inhabited or visited.
