Annual Jane Austen Birthday Tea

You are cordially invited to JASNA Vermont’s Annual Jane Austen Birthday Tea. The event takes place Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Champlain College, Burlington, Vermont at the Hauck Family Campus Center, 375 Maple Street from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The afternoon features an English Afternoon Tea, a Gift Emporium with local artisan crafts and Austen-related books, live music and a lecture. Professor Philip Baruth of the University of Vermont will speak to us on a topic from Emma. The lecture, titled “‘Badly Done Indeed’: In Which Austen’s Mr. Knightley is Revealed to be a Whimsical and Emotional Teen Basket-Case,” promises to be a delightful entertainment.
