Jane Austen’s Tonbridge Connections
The JASNA Churches Committee has the happy task of awarding grants to churches in England associated with Jane Austen and her family, using donations provided by members. In 2008 the Churches Committee made a grant to St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Tonbridge, Kent, in support of a project to document Austen family connections in Tonbridge. The project, which was launched in September 2009, includes an exhibition in the church and a printed guide and audio guide for an Austen literary walk.
A video report on the Tonbridge walk is available through this link.
Contributions to JASNA in support of Austen-related churches and other JASNA projects may be made on this web site.
