Announcing the Publication Online of Persuasions No. 5

The complete text of Persuasions No. 5, originally published December 16, 1983, is now available on the JASNA web site.

Long out of print, Persuasions No. 5 features articles from the 1983 Annual General Meeting in Philadelphia, whose theme was Emma. Included are papers by Joan Austen-Leigh and David Groves as well as others on the conference theme.

Many thanks go to Montreal member Renée Charron (Treasurer, Canada), who scanned and corrected the full text of Persuasions No. 5, as she also did for numbers 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. Lee Ridgeway (Publications Secretary) scanned several photographs and enhanced them to produce high-quality web images. Answers to the quiz in Persuasions Number 5 (not in the print journal) will be posted in March. Test your knowledge of Emma, and check back in March to see how you did.
