David Monaghan is Professor of English at Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is the author of Jane Austen: Structure and Social Vision and editor of two books of essays on Austen. His other books deal with John le Carré and the literature of the Falklands War.
Ariane Hudelet is a lecturer at the Université Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle (France). She has published articles on film and literature, and is currently working on the publication of her PhD dissertation on the body in Jane Austen’s novels and their film adaptations.
John Wiltshire is Reader and Associate Professor at La Trobe University, Melbourne. The author of Jane Austen and the Body (1992), he is working on a new book called Recreating Jane Austen.
The Jane Austen Society of North America is dedicated to the enjoyment and appreciation of Jane Austen and her writing. JASNA is a nonprofit organization, staffed by volunteers, whose mission is to foster among the widest number of readers the study, appreciation, and understanding of Jane Austen’s works, her life, and her genius. We have over 5,000 members of all ages and from diverse walks of life. Although most live in the United States or Canada, we also have members in more than a dozen other countries.
