Did Clearwater or JASNA, Florida West Coast Region ever see a finer 24th of October?

Ms. Dede Natale, a member of JASNA, the Florida State Music Teachers Association, The Music Teachers National Association and the Upper Pinellas Music Teachers Association, invited us to drink tea at her house and performed music from Jane Austen’s time.

Ms. Natale opened her program with a question:  Do you think that Miss Jane Austen, a contemporary of Mozart and Beethoven, was familiar with their music?  While we all pondered that query, she took us on a brief tour into the English countryside of Regency music.  Ms. Natale delighted us with pieces by Mozart, Bach, Chopin and several small pieces of the simple music that Austen most likely would have had in her “music bench.”

This question certainly will be discussed another day, as we continue to uncover things that always seems to give us infinite pleasure about our favorite author.
