Metropolitan Kansas City Region
Jane Austen Harvest Dance
October 21, 2012
We heartily agree with Sir William Lucas that dance is “one of the first refinements of polished societies.” So please register now for our Kansas City Region’s Jane Austen Harvest Dance. We’ll greet you on the lovely autumn afternoon of Sunday, October 21, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Kansas City’s charming Alexander Majors House Barn, 8201 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Bring a friend or partner, or come by yourself … it matters not, because our style of dance will have you changing hands with both novice and experienced dancers throughout the afternoon.
Greg and Jill Allen
Begin with a half hour of easy and enjoyable instruction led by expert caller Jerome Grisanti. His enthusiasm, distinctive voice and clear teaching have made him a popular caller throughout the Midwest. All afternoon, his calling will flow effortlessly with the music of Red House featuring Jill Allen on piano and Greg Allen on violin. The experience and partnership of all three helped found Lawrence English Country Dance.
We encourage Regency dress or modern attire. Period foods and libations will refresh everyone.   The cost is $10 per person with advance registration.
Don’t wait for an invitation through the two-penny post, you may register now through our website, or call Julienne Gehrer at 913-262-1581 for more information.
