Spring Meeting - Tea at Downton Abbey
April 27, 2014

Downton Abbey

Be transported to Edwardian England for the North Texas Region’s Spring Meeting – Tea at Downton Abbey.  The Rosewood Crescent Hotel will provide the backdrop for this fabulous event filled with many surprises thanks to Tea Chair – Erika Hanson.

Sip on sumptuous teas as you listen to our own Chris Peirson describe the “Manners, Morals, and Social Usage in Downton Abbey.”  The afternoon tea menu offers a fine selection of assorted teas served with milk, lemon slices and sugar cubes, as well as deluxe finger sandwiches including Cucumber with Mint Mayonnaise on Rye, Deviled Egg Salad, Proscuitto and Manchego on Crostini.  Scones will be served with fruit preserves and clotted cream (everyone’s favorite!) followed by fruit tarts, créme brulee, and Godiva chocolate cake.

The event is open to members and guests and those with an interest in Jane Austen.  The cost of the program is $42.00.  Reservations are requested by April 16.  Sorry, no onsite registration is available.  The Rosewood Crescent Hotel is located at 400 Crescent Court, Dallas, TX 75201.
