Armstrong Browning Library Tour and Lecture
November 10, 2012
The North Texas Region will travel to Waco to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Robert Browning’s birth. We will carpool to the Armstrong Browning Library on the beautiful Waco campus of Baylor University.
The library is a 19th-century research center dedicated to the study of the lives and works of Victorian poets Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and houses the world’s largest collection of Browning material and other fine collections of rare 19th-century books, manuscripts, and works of art. A private docent guided tour will begin at 10:00 AM.
The tour will be followed by a lecture from the Browning Scholar in Residence, Dr. Kristin Blair at 11:00 AM. Lunch at the library will conclude the day.
The event is open to members and guests and those with an interest in Jane Austen. Cost of the program and refreshments is $20.00 and reservations are required by 11/1/12.
