Jane Austen mentions the game of cricket in Northanger Abbey and in one of her letters to her sister, Cassandra. Join the San Diego Region to watch San Diego's professional cricket team play a match at Canyonside Park in Rancho Peñasquitos. The team's coach will explain the game and its rules to JASNA attendees, and the team has graciously offered to host Janeites for lunch that day. Bench seating is available, or you can bring a blanket or chair and sit on the grass.
