Light Rail/Subway
You can take the Metro from LAX for $3.00 but it will involve several transfers.  Go to the LAX Shuttle and Airline Connections sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal and board the free "G" Shuttle to the Metro Green Line Aviation Station.  Buy $3.00 all-day pass. Take the Green line East to the Imperial/Wilmington Station. Transfer there from the Green Line to the Blue Line.  Take it north to its terminus at 7th/Metro. Transfer to the Red Line and travel one stop in the Union Station direction to the Pershing Square Stop. Upon exiting station at the "Pershing Square" side (Do not use the 4th St. exit), you will immediately see the Hotel across Pershing Square.  This route is feasible with wheeled luggage because all stations are built to current handicapped access standards with large glassed elevators, and trains are built with their doors at ground level.
The Long Beach Airport does not have any direct connections, apart from taxis and shuttles.  However, one can take a short cab ride to the Wardlow Blue Line Station, then t
ake it north to its terminus at 7th/Metro. Transfer to the Red Line and travel one stop in the Union Station direction to the Pershing Square Stop. Upon exiting station at the "Pershing Square" side (Do not use the 4th St. exit), you will immediately see the Hotel across Pershing Square.  Technically one can take the bus by getting on the Long Beach Transit Bus 111 South at the Airport Terminal building, transferring at Redondo/Kilroy Airport Way to the LBT 131, heading North to the Wardlow Blue Line Station. (cost $.90 + $.10 Transfer).  However this will involve much luggage hoisting and hefting for a fairly short distance.

Metrolink Rail Connection
From the Bob Hope Airport you can take the Metrolink train to Union Station and then transfer for free to the Red Line subway. (Union Station is a main destination for intra- and interstate Amtrak trains.)  Two quick stops will take you to the hotel. Exit Red Line at the Pershing Square stop. Leave station at the "Pershing Square" side. (Do not use the 4th St. exit) The Hotel is visible directly across the Square.

Amtrak Rail Connection
Union Station is the Los Angeles destination for intra- and interstate Amtrak trains.  Transfer within the building to the Red Line Subway by making two rights immediately upon entering Union Station from tunnel. Escalators and glass elevators are available throughout the system. Buy $1.25 ticket. Take any train. Two quick stops (6 minutes) will take you to the hotel.  Exit Red Line at the Pershing Square stop. Leave station at the "Pershing Square" side (Do not use the 4th St. exit). The Hotel is visible directly across the Square.

Bus from LAX
Cheapest price- $1.25! Board the free Lot C Shuttle East (AIRPORT PARKING-96TH ST)  on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal.  Ask the driver to let you off at the LAX Transit Center, where you will go to island 13.  Board Metro Bus 42a West (DOWNTOWN LA UNION STA).  Get off downtown at 6th and Broadway.  Go West on 6th two blocks to Olive.  Turn right and go one and a half blocks North to the Hotel. 1 hr, 22 minutes.

Automobile information
Exit 110 Freeway at 6th St, head east (it's a one-way street) several blocks to Olive, turn left.  The hotel will be on your left.  To unload,  turn left at 5th St., then left again onto Grand.  The vehicle entrance to the hotel will be on your immediate left.  After unloading, if you wish to park elsewhere, exit the hotel on 5th, turn left, then left again on Grand, then left again on 6th St, then left back on Olive, this time turning into the far right lane.  The entrance to the Pershing Square Garage will be to your immediate right.

Parking
Valet parking is available at the Biltmore for hotel guests for $22.00 overnight and $13 for day parking for guests arriving for events.  Overnight parking charges may be added to your hotel bill.
