Annual General Meetings
JASNA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a literary conference, a celebration of Jane Austen, and a collegial gathering of JASNA members.
Each October several hundred members attend the AGM, a three-day conference with an Austen theme hosted by a JASNA region in Canada or the United States. The AGM features dozens of lectures by Austen scholars and JASNA members, as well as special exhibits, entertainment, workshops, tours of the local area, and a banquet and Regency ball.
Information about the October AGM is mailed to JASNA members in the late spring. Meeting details and a registration form for the upcoming meeting are also posted on this site. Many papers presented at AGMs are published in the society’s journals Persuasions and Persuasions On-Line.
