Join the San Diego Region for a free Zoom presentation by Andrew and Rachel Knowles, who research and write about the late Georgian and Regency periods.
In this talk, the couple will take you on a journey to the Regency London Jane Austen knew, including its royals and rogues. Despite living in rural Hampshire, Austen regularly visited London and was familiar with bustling Covent Garden, the lively theaters, grand shops, and even the Prince Regent's palace, Carlton House. In the talk, they will discuss some of the places Austen visited and describe the delights and dangers she could have experienced while traveling around the capital.
