The Jane Austen Society of North America is a nonprofit literary society, staffed by volunteers, that relies on donations to supplement membership dues and support its programs and outreach activities.
JASNA is tax-exempt in both the US and Canada. Donations to JASNA and the English sites it supports are deductible for US income tax purposes. Donations designated for JASNA Canada (but not those for the English sites) are deductible for Canadian income tax purposes.
The JASNA 1979 Legacy Circle and Friends of JASNA honor and celebrate members and friends who have made a commitment to support JASNA through a planned gift or bequest or a gift to the Annual Fund. These donations contribute to the growth and success of the Jane Austen Society of North America and its mission to foster among the widest number of readers the study, appreciation, and understanding of Jane Austen’s works, her life, and her genius.
